This is a word that many of us ask maybe one hundred times a day. When you are being spoken to and you can’t quite understand exactly what someone is saying, the first thing out of your mouth is “what”. How can four letters get such a response? First of all, just to be able to deal with any person on any level, requires listening. Most of the time our minds are constantly racing many times over. So when the statement is made, you have to re-calibrate your settings (your mind) to make sure you heard correctly. It does not even matter if the words were crazy or if they challenged you to think. The first thing out of your mouth is always “what”. Next time, take a little time for the words being spoken to you to process through, then instead of saying “what”, you can give an answer, if it so requires you to.
Now, because I constantly ask “what”, do you do the same thing? Please respond. I know I am not the only one that does this.
