Okay, here is another one of my many brain explosions. EXPOSED! True meanings are as follows:
Now, let me explain. As men and women of God, we must be especially careful of what we speak out of our mouths. If you are in a battle with the man or woman in the mirror, fervently pray.
1 Corinthians 9:27 states: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Notice how the Apostle wrote it. He said “I” and “my” meaning it was personal to him. It should also be personal to us today. Next he says “bring it into subjection”. That means get your body in order. His last words are words of humility.
Those who pursue the interests of their souls, must combat hard with fleshly lusts. The body must not be suffered to rule. The apostle presses this advice on the Corinthians. He sets before himself and them the danger of yielding to fleshly desires, pampering the body, and its lusts and appetites. Holy fear of himself was needed to keep an apostle faithful: how much more is it needful for our preservation! Let us learn from hence humility and caution, and to watch against dangers which surround us while in the body.
God will expose some things you may have thought were hidden.
In the Gospel of Luke 22:31, it is written: And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat.
In the Gospel according to Luke 14:38, it is written: Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly [is] ready, but the flesh [is] weak.
Please take heed lest ye fall!
