It seems as if the enemy will try to attack you at every turn. It may start with a health issue and, if that’s not enough, he even uses people to get under your skin. Oh, you don’t have to bother anyone and just that alone appears to be a problem for others. (Smh) Not to mention the day to day hustle and bustle of trying to make ends meet with little to no increases along the way. However, in-spite of it all, God still provides. To someone on the outside looking in may think you have it all together, but what they can’t see is your spirit bowed down unto God praying a Psalm. So when I began to feel some type of way today, the spirit of God arose within me and reminded me of Psalms 20:
The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; The name of the God of Jacob defend thee; send thee help from the sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion; remember thy offerings and thy burnt sacrifices; Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfill all thy counsel. We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfill all thy petitions.
Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.
After reminding myself that the Lord does hear me in the day of trouble, I simply told the enemy, “NOT TODAY!!!!
Today is not the day wherein you will make me feel inferior to anyone. Why? Because you don’t have that authority.
Today is not the day wherein you try to magnify my shortcomings. Go ahead, put them up on your screen for all to see. Why? Because before you can gather your display together, I had already spoken to God out of the Book Psalms 51, “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.” Why? Because you don’t have the authority.
Today is not the day wherein you try to make me hang up the towel because I feel worn. Why? Because you did not give me any strength. My strength came from above.
So once again “NOT TODAY”.
